| Having trouble with our Site?
Please check the questions below for common questions/problems and answers.
What is the best browser version to use?
FacWorld runs best using Microsoft Internet explorer version 5.5 or higher. Some versions of IE 5.0 may cause features to function improperly. If you are using IE 5.0, and can not Login, you'll need to upgrade your browser.
What if my ID and/or password doesn't work?
If you forget your ID and/or password, or it will not log you in successfully, please click on the Forgot your UserID/Password? link on the login page. You will be asked to enter your email address and Birthday and month. Your profile information will be sent to your email address if it matches our records. If you receive a message that we have no record of your information, please send an email to AskFacWorld with your First Name, Last Name and Company name, and we'll contact you.
I can't view a quote that was recently sent to me.
If you received notification via email that a Gen Re underwriter has quoted your account, and you have clicked on the link contained in the email and logged into FacWorld, but can not view the quote, or get an error message, please send an email to AskFacWorld with the name of the account. There may be a problem with your authentication that prevents you from viewing certain accounts that can usually be quickly resolved.
I can view My Accounts, but have nothing in my Branch Accounts.
For security purposes, you will not have immediate access to your brnach accounts upon setting up a FacWorld Profile. Once your profile has been confirmed by Gen Re, you will be granted greater access. If you need immediate access, or it has been more than 2 days since setting up your profile, please send a note to AskFacWorld.
I am having trouble accessing an account by clicking on the link that was emailed to me, what can I do?
This problem can be due to the way some email programs handle the formatting of hyperlinks, or it could be due to a security patch on your Internet Explorer. Either way, copying the entire link and pasting it to your Internet Browser's Address line and hitting Enter will take care of the problem. Make sure if there is a carriage return that you capture the whole string. If you continue to experience difficulty, forward the message with the link and a description of the problem to Ask FacWorld. |
