The Semiconductor specialty network encompasses first-party property damage exposures for the manufacturing of wafers, integrated circuits, and ultimately "chips". This includes the production of silicon wafers, wafer processing, making the actual chips, assembly & testing, and ultimately its placement into a piece of electronic equipment. The process at a given facility can include several of these sub-processes, or it may be highly specialized. Understanding what part of the process is occurring at your insured's facility is key in understanding your exposure.
