Semiconductor Network
Semiconductor Network
The Semiconductor specialty network encompasses first-party property damage exposures for the manufacturing of wafers, integrated circuits, and ultimately "chips". This includes the production of silicon wafers, wafer processing, making the actual chips, assembly & testing, and ultimately its placement into a piece of electronic equipment. The process at a given facility can include several of these sub-processes, or it may be highly specialized. Understanding what part of the process is occurring at your insured's facility is key in understanding your exposure. In many instances, these processes are accomplished by different insureds, producing a potential cross-liability from an interdependency exposure.
